MACC Attendance Report

This summary of a multi-tiered school-wide approach to improving student attendance and achievement is the result of an extensive search of federal, national, state and local websites, including a major national resource, Attendance Works (AW). AW is a national non-profit organization, affiliated with the Child and Family Policy Center, which promotes better policy and practice around school attendance. The report includes a self-assessment tool from AW and a list of questions for schools to consider prior to planning improvement strategies. Each of the three tiers in the approach is presented with categorized site-level strategies for improving attendance.
