This Special Issues Brief provides key considerations, actions steps, and practical examples for designing educator evaluation systems that are inclusive for teachers of students with disabilities. Inclusive teacher evaluation design requires states and districts to be intentional in bringing key constituents and stakeholders into the design process. Using an inclusive process to modify measures of teacher practice and assess measures of student growth is the only way to ensure that students with disabilities and the educators who support them are fairly and accurately evaluated.
